God’s leaders are full of power by the Spirit

I rejoice in the way God is moving among us. District Camp and General Conference were examples of God’s favor and blessings upon our fellowship. Always remember that you are an effective and important part of this body of Christ impacting our generation.

I have recently been reading through the major and minor prophets. It is laborious but beneficial because I see clear parallels between then and now. The culture and spiritual temperature of Israel and Judah was headed away for God and facing His impending stern judgment.

In the midst of this comes a prophet by the name of Micah. He describes the ills, sins and backsliding of Israel and its leaders then says:

Micah 3:8 “But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the LORD, And of justice and might, To declare to Jacob his transgression And to Israel his sin. Now hear this, You heads of the house of Jacob And rulers of the house of Israel,Who abhor justice And pervert all equity,…”

Micah reminds me of ministers like you in our fellowship. Hear his certainty and passion! He has the remedy and is not afraid to declare and live it! He has vision, character and courage, just like you! In chapter four He is positive of what God is saying to him. He is certain of God’s love for His people and His willingness to forgive and restore. He speaks of a bright future if they will follow the Word and Spirit. In chapter five He tells them about Jesus, The Messiah.

This is the same Jesus and Messiah that we preach and lead people to! Be encouraged my brother, my sister. You are “full of power by the Sprit of God.” There is hope and great possibility as long as there are people “full of power by the Spirit” who are willing to become engaged and lead.

BIG IDEA: God’s leaders are full of power by the Spirit and more than equal to any challenge!

God said that He would pour out of His Spirit in the last days; The day of unprecedented wickedness, sin, backsliding, lukewarmness and falling away. During that same time a people like you will rise up and do great exploits.

Do not be weary in well doing for in due season you will reap if you faint not. Continue to sow, sow, sow and a harvest is guaranteed. Guaranteed by God. Hallelujah!

My greatest joy is to serve God with you!
